Gary Gentry joined Keller Williams Realty when he relocated to Austin in 1983 - as the 1st agent in the newly formed company. Prior to embarking on a career in real estate, Gary, a graduate of Baylor University, enjoyed a career in hospital administration. When Gary transitioned to real estate, he brought to residential sales the finely honed negotiating skills and attention to detail he perfected during his 10 year career in hospital administration. Gary's clients have found that every step of the process in buying or selling residential real estate, from negotiating the contract offer to negotiating repairs, reflects Gary's strict attention to detail and his commitment to seeing his clients benefit financially. The fact that Gary has been a recipient of the Austin Business Journal's Residential Top Producer Award - EVERY year (since the inception of the program), a 2013 & 2014 Platinum Austin Top 50 Award Winner, a 2014 Five Star Professional Real Estate Agent as recognized in Texas Monthly Magazine- is a testimony to his 31 year reputation as as skilled professional who conducts his business with integrity. Gary's involvement in community affairs also serves clients by making him a great source of pertinent information regarding local schools, future highway plans, neighborhood development and zoning, environmental issues and other factors that could influence home purchase decisions and future appreciation of value. Gary was recently awarded the Rotary Family and Community Service Award for many years of service to Southwest Austin. He is Past President and a current member of the Board of Directors for the Austin - Oakhill Business and Professional Association. A long time member of Riverbend Church, Gary is currently serving on two committees. Gary has a passion for training real estate agents and trains not only locally but also for Keller Williams Realty International (KWRI). He is a recipient of the KWRI coveted President's Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service to the company which is awarded each year at the International Convention. In 2014 he was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Keller Williams Southwest Market Center. In addition, he serves on the KWRI Agent Leadership Council which is instrumental in setting policy for the international company.
